BIG WEEK: AK’LALWA EKHAYA | 29 DEC
29 Dec 2026 SAST (+02:00)
Kingsmead Stadium Outer Field
Details
BIG WEEK has always been driven by premium experiences, cultural expression and the power of African music.
In 2026, that journey leads to Durban.
Under the theme of Homecoming, BIG WEEK answers a long-standing call to follow the true culture of KZN and become a highlight of Durban’s summer season. Not just a highlight, we will be THE HIGHLIGHT.
Across four days, the festival honours where African music comes from while placing its artists, sounds and cultural influence on a grand stage. Amapiano, Afro-house, Afro-tech, 3-Step and Gqom are celebrated not only as genres, but as South African cultural movements that continue to travel the world.
Each day tells a different chapter. Together, they form one BIG WEEK journey built around belonging, connection, rhythm and memory.
One festival. Four chapters. One feeling of Homecoming.
